UX / UI

Here’s a little bit of my UX / UI process and highlights from these past 10+ years.

Style Guide / UI Kit

Led the initiative to create and design my employer’s first interactive style guide / UI kit with cohesive formatting and interactions. Designed and built this UI as a “product” so the designed components functioned as completely usable elements.

Accessibility

Helped lead my company to adopt web accessibility (WCAG) guidelines into our UIs for the first time, and built accessibility into our style guide / UI kit as an example for other designers and developers to follow.

Information Architecture + User Flow

In my corporate role, as well as in my previous life as a freelance web designer/developer, I would gather requirements and user information in order to build Information Architectures and User-Flow Maps.

LAYOUT + WIREFRAMES

Produced a multitude of wireframes (interactive and static) and instructive layouts as a necessary aspect of building towards the design that best combined user and business goals.

FINISHED DELIVERABLES

Finished and polished design deliverables sent to development for product integration. From this point we’d work together to make sure everything works as planned.

DESIGN DOCUMENTATION

Detailed design documentation has proven to be incredibly important, so no design details or interactions fall through the cracks.
